Who Am I?

My name is Peter Torrente. I graduated from Lafayette College in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Media Studies. For my capstone, I researched how the methods of creating matte paintings have changed, but the way these images are perceived by viewers have not. I have worked on a variety of multimedia projects ranging from working in Rome, Italy at Romeing Magazine creating video content for their social media promoting upcoming articles, to interviewing Grammy Award-winning American musician, Printz Board at MLB Advanced Media, to working on Jaguar's 2020 IPACE commericals.

Filming and video editing is not where my skill set ends. I also have experience using DAWs, such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live, in real studio and live settings. Also, I have helped record and produce live recordings and mixings of concerts with artists, such as George Clanton, Neggy Gemmy, and Pad Chennington. Lastly, I have taught myself HTML and CSS while working on WJRH's website.

Currently I am working towards getting a Master's of Science in Computer Science at the Seidenberg School Of Computer Science at Pace University with an expected graduation date of May 2023.

My Work.

jumP Editorial

While at award-winning, bi-coastal creative editorial boutique, jumP Editorial, I worked on video editing and graphics on commercials, such as the 2020 Jaguar I-PACE ad campaign and Maybelline.

MLB Advanced Media

This was one of the many interviews I worked on while at MLB Entertainment. In this interview with Parker Lane, I set up lights, operated a camera, provided interview questions, and worked on the final edit after the shoot.

A short film that I created in my senior year of college that shows off what I had learned about Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects in the class throughout the semester.
